First, my mommy put a hole through a water bottle. She cut a straw, stuck it through the hole with a playdough.

I used a syringe to take 15ml vinegar and put 10 ml baking soda in the bottle.

When my mommy lit the candle, I injected the vinegar into the bottle. The mixture started to bubble. My daddy tilted the straw towards the fire and it was put off.

Baking soda is sodium bicarbonate, vinegar contains acetic acid. When combone, it releases carbon dioxide which put off the fire.
