Learning experiences in STEAM through self directed makerspaces

Spaces that encourage learning by Making and Tinkering

Making and tinkering corners provide a setting for active learning—exploring, innovating, creating. Making combines the values and skills that students already have and builds on existing knowledge.

Why is Making important?

Making and tinkering are closely associated with STEM learning and rely on hands on-collaborative learning experiences as a method for solving authentic problems.  It is therefore tied with teamwork, conflict resolution, creativity, problem solving and other 21st century skills.

Creative Curious Tinkers is a 1.5 days training programme for early childhood educators that explores the making and tinkering mindset and how it should be cultivated in children
