Junior Space Explorer is one of the project title for ECDA's 2022 Innovation Guidance Project.
In the programme, we aim to equip pre-school teachers with content knowledge in Astronomy and Space Science which they can then apply with creative strategies to curate lesson materials and plans for their students. Through the workshop, we hope pre-school teachers will be more confident to incorporate these concepts and be able to map to various NEL framework.

Making and tinkering corners provide a setting for active learning—exploring, innovating, creating. Making combines the values and skills that students already have and builds on existing knowledge.
Why is Making important?
Making and tinkering are closely associated with STEM learning and rely on hands on-collaborative learning experiences as a method for solving authentic problems. It is therefore tied with teamwork, conflict resolution, creativity, problem solving and other 21st century skills.
Creative Curious Tinkers is a 1.5 days training programme for early childhood educators that explores the making and tinkering mindset and how it should be cultivated in children

The Earth We Share
The objectives of the course is to help participants understand and apply creative methods/ strategies in introducing earth sciences topic to children. Participants will be able to work in groups to brainstorm new ideas and activities related to the topic. Various resources will also be introduced to participants to help enhance children's learning.
Young Master Builder aims to equip pre-school teachers with science knowledge on the principles behind a stable structure. To encourage teachers to use our exhibits as teaching resource and using daily items to reinforce scientific concepts on structures. The workshop also aims to equip K1 and K2 teachers with story-telling ideas, real-life connections and hands-on activities that creates an authentic learning experience to and mapping to various NEL framework. Encourage preschool teachers to incorporate science elements into their lessons and learning journeys.
