The trash chute trash root is a prototype that makes use of biomimicry
to trap trash deposited on the high tide lines of coastlines. Currently, much
of Singapore’s coastlines are riddles with trash and TCTR helps to trap trash
that would otherwise be scattered on the high tide lines of the beach. TCTR
makes collecting trash a thousand times simpler as larger pieces of trash that
is normally scattered at the high tide line of the beach would be trapped in
the root like structure of TCTR while smaller trash would be caught in the net
below. Thus the trash is collected such that it can be easily cleared by
volunteers at a later date
